Frank Buckles, the last surviving American Veteran of World War One, died recently at his home in West Virginia at the age of 110. Not only did he serve in the first World War but as a civilian, Mr. Buckles survived more than three years of brutal captivity by Japanese forces during World War Two. The American Veteran pays tribute to this remarkable Veteran and to all who served with him.
