The Maryland State Superintendent of Schools is stepping down. Mohammed Choudhury has informed the State Board he is withdrawing his request for a second contract to pursue other opportunities.
The announcement follows a series of Project Baltimore investigations that raised serious questions about transparency within the Maryland State Department of Education.
