Hello Displorers, welcome back to another informative video and thanks for watching. In today’s video, we shall be looking at the top 10 African countries with the most internet users. More than half of the population worldwide are active internet users. Africa is the largest region in the world with huge natural diversity. It has many countries most of them are undeveloped and some of them are developing. Of the 4.33 billion active internet users worldwide, 2.4 billion 56% are located in Asia. Europe and Africa have the second and third largest groups of internet users with 651 million and 453 million respectively. Despite the prevalence of internet usage in Asia, it’s Africa that has the fastest-growing online population. Seven out of the ten fastest growing online populations are based in Africa, with Western Sahara leading the chart as of January 2019. The number of internet users in the region has grown by 364% year-over-year. With this general growth of internet users, there are some countries whose internet users have grown exponentially making them the highest number of internet users in Africa.

So, without any further ado, here are the top 10 African countries with the most internet users.
10. Sudan - 13.1 Million Users.
Sudan, officially the Republic of the Sudan, is a country in northeaster Africa. It is bordered by Egypt to the north, Libya to the northwest, Chad to the west, the Central African Republic to the southwest, South Sudan to the south, Ethiopia to the southeast, Eritrea to the east, and the Red Sea to the northeast. Sudan has a population of 43 million and occupies 1,886,068km2, making it Africa's third-largest country and also the third-largest in the Arab world. Sudan’s internet usage indicates that users spend the following percentages of the population use the following medias, Facebook 44.89%, YouTube 35.28%, Twitter 11.66%, Instagram 4.41%, Pinterest 3.32%, and VKontakte 0.27%.
9. Uganda - 19 Million Users.
Uganda, officially the Republic of Uganda is a landlocked country in East-Central Africa. It is bordered to the east by Kenya, to the north by South Sudan, to the west by the Democratic Republic of the Congo, to the south-west by Rwanda, and to the south by Tanzania. With a population of 45.7 million people spread over 241,038 km2 of land, it is the 9th country with the most internet users with a percentage of 18.5% of the total population using the internet. Uganda has a total of 19 million internet users which is 41.6% of the population, with over 2.6 Facebook subscribers, it is estimated that Uganda has a penetration rate of 5.7%.
8. Ethiopia - 20.5 Million Users
Officially the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, it is a landlocked country in the Horn of Africa. It shares borders with Eritrea to the north, Djibouti to the northeast, Somalia and Somaliland to the east, Kenya to the south, South Sudan to the west and Sudan to the northwest. With over 110 million inhabitants, Ethiopia is the most populous landlocked country in the world and the second-most populous nation on the African continent with a total area of 1,100,000km2. Its capital and largest city is Addis Ababa. It is estimated that above 20 million Ethiopians use the internet with over 56%onFacebookmaking Ethiopia to be the 7th African country with the most internet users in Africa.
7. Tanzania - 23.1 Million Users
Tanzania is a country in East Africa within the African Great Lakes region. It borders Uganda to the north, Kenya to the northeast, Comoro Islands at the Indian Ocean to the east, Mozambique and Malawi to the south, Zambia to the southwest, and Rwanda, Burundi, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo to the west. The capital city of Tanzania is Dar es Salaam. Tanzania’s population is estimated at over 65.3million people spread over 947,303 km2 of land.
