Puto Pao with Pork Asado Fillings | Kimmy's Kitchen
Puto + sioPao= Puto Pao, It is basically a steamed mini version of siopao with Pork or Chicken Asado fillings and made out of Puto, or steamed rice cake. Super easy to make, delicious and especially if you put with Salted egg and cheese on the top and for sure the taste really blends.😍
Ingredients:
Puto Pao Batter:
1 1/2 cups All purpose flour or Cake flour (I used AFP as no available Cake flour here in AUH🇦🇪
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup water
Meringue:
4 egg whites
1/4 cup white sugar
Asado Fillings:
250g ground pork
6 cloves garlic minced
1 medium onion minced
1 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
2 tbsp oyster sauce
2 tbsp corn starch/ dissolve in 4 tbsp of water
1 tbsp sugar
Toppings:
2 pcs Sliced Salted egg
Sliced Cheese/ Grated Cheese
