If hiking through a picturesque slot canyon with nothing but a river to guide you sounds appealing, then The Narrows in Zion National Park might be for you. Check out this video, you’ll have an idea of what you’re in for.
You’ll be trekking through the Virgin River in Utah, with towering canyon walls all around you. The water is cold, your feet are wet the entire time, there are sections where the river is chest high, and for most of the hike you are trying to find your balance on rocks that you cannot see below the surface. With only your trusty hiking stick to keep the current from knocking you off of your feet.
Be prepared to be in a state of awe for all of it…the beauty of this place will take your breath away. Your curiosity will keep you going.
There is no trail…you just follow the river and make your own path, wandering through the canyon. The soaring canyon walls narrow the further you go in.
It’s incredible…it feels like a dream…and it makes for one heck of a friend’s weekend!!!!
