The double-decker AC trains will stop for two to five minutes at Ghaziabad, Moradabad and Bareilly stations on the way in both directions. In August 2012, the first double-decker air-conditioned train from the national capital’s Sarai Rohilla station to Jaipur was flagged off by then railway minister Mukul Roy. ( Video Link [ Ссылка ] ) Railway officials said that designing the double-decker coaches was a huge challenge as the entire rail network and coaches were designed to meet precise standard dimensions in length, breadth and height of the railway structures like bridges and tunnels. The double-decker coaches can accommodate 120 passengers against the carrying capacity of 78 passengers in the existing chair cars of Shatabdi trains.
