On may 13th 2000, the company S.E. Fireworks in Enschede, The Netherlands exploded, causing the neighborhood of Roombeek to get destroyed. At least 23 people died as a direct result. It's still a mystery what caused the fire(s) at the "fireworks" storage and shipment facility, and no information has been officially released regarding the types of explosives which would cause a 75 GigaJoules detonation.
