As summer comes to an end, so does Sir Nigel Gresley's visit to the South West. Based over in Bishops Lydeard on the West Somerset Railway from May. The loco has been seen hauling railtours both to the English Riveria, and on the Welsh Marches line to Shrewsbury. However, its overnight stay back at Bishops Lydeard was cut short. The loco encountered a cracked brake block, meaning it would be unsafe to work the train back to Bristol, and later BL. This resulted in the return trip being headed by one of LSL's class 47s, 47805. Thanks for watching.
