These daisies are larger than the wild daisies seen in the fields. The blooms last all summer long and into the fall. I love the lacy petals that remind me of coconut flakes, and the pretty yellow center with all its texture. Fully bloomed, it reminds me of a sunny side up egg greeting me in the mornings. I love it for the aesthetics, and it is useful for bringing in pollinators. It is low maintenance, and can easily be divided. I love that it is non-invasive and perennial. Although it is not edible, I do welcome nooks of pretty blossoms and blooms strewn about the garden. I do love the cottage-style garden. This video describes the characteristics of Shasta daisies and its care.
