Pirozhki with beef filling | Russian piroshki| Pirozhki recipe
Ingredients
Dough:
All purpose flour ( Maida)- 2 cups (260 g)
Salt-1/2 teaspoon
Active dry yeast-1 yeast
Sugar-1&1/2 teaspoon
Egg-1 medium
Warm milk ( not hot)-1/2 cup (125 ml)
Melted butter/ Oil-2 tablespoon
All purpose flour-2 teaspoon for sprinkling
Meat filling:
Minced beef -350 g
Onion-1 medium
garlic ( finely chopped)- 1 teaspoon
Salt-1/2 teaspoon
Pepper powder-1/2 teaspoon
Paprika-1/2 teaspoon
Tomato paste-1 teaspoon
finely chopped parsley leaves ( optional)
Egg-1 for ( egg wash) If baking
Melted Butter- 1 tablespoon
Baking: Bake in a preheated ( 180C for 10 minutes) oven at 180C for 20-25 minutes.
Frying: Oil for frying
