This was just an amazing experience with an incredible couple in an astonishing country. I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to make the trip, and stars aligned and I was able to go. Sydney (the gorgeous bride) reached out and made it happen. I even got to shoot beside Kara Kamienski, who was our wedding photographer, which made it even better. We flew in to Reykjavík and drove to the Black Sand Beach under Mountain Reynisfjall in Vík where Sydney and Alex were to be married in Iceland by a 'Chieftan' (aka, the Hawk, aka, the officiant ) speaking in native tongue at times with an awesome accent. We drove to so many breath-taking places of Iceland, it was AWE-MAZING for sure. With the Bride and Groom writing their own vows and the Icelandic traditions of holding a brass ring to everyone (even me) passing around a long tusk, filled with a malt-like liquor, congratulating the couple. This wedding was definitely not my normal, and I loved how different it was.
