Like many other children, Phoebe was 7 when she was diagnosed with myopia and fit for glasses when she first struggled with blurry vision. Myopia, also known as short-sightedness or nearsightedness, is an eye health issue that affects 40+ percent of Americans,¹ a number that includes more and more children every day. Left untreated, they could be looking at a lifetime of bad eyesight and more serious conditions like glaucoma, retinal detachments and myopic maculopathy.
At Phoebe's next eye appointment, her vision had worsened a substantial amount concerning both her mom and doctor. That's when her doctor suggested MiSight® 1 day, the FIRST and ONLY soft contact lens FDA approved* to slow the progression of myopia in children aged 8-12 at the initiation of treatment.²𝄒† These daily disposable soft contact lenses provide clear vision and are easy to use with 90% of age appropriate children able to insert and remove the lenses on their own after just one month.³𝄒|
And the results have been life changing for Phoebe. Compared to the rapid growth curve of her prescription prior to starting MiSight® 1 day, her myopia has only progressed a small amount. And her results aren't out of the ordinary. On average, children wearing MiSight® 1 day lenses progressed less than -1.00D over 6 years.⁴𝄒‡ If Phoebe was to tell a friend with myopia about MiSight® 1 day she would say, "Start it early because if you catch it late, you can't go back."
