The iconic neo-Gothic skyscraper known as the Woolworth Building was designed by MIT-trained architect Cass Gilbert and completed in 1913 where it stood as the tallest in the world, towering 59 stories at 792 feet. When completed the Woolworth Building at 233 Broadway was regarded as a model of construction for its unique use of steel framing.
The building’s façade and finishes were heavily influenced by the owner, Frank Woolworth’s vision of his spiritual self as a descendant of medieval merchants. The cathedral-like lobby with rounded arches and mosaics of blue, green, and gold received universal acclaim.
This historic and iconic landmark is now fully equipped to support the spatial and technological requirements of today’s and tomorrow’s businesses. Agencies, firms, start-ups, and other companies reside above the glorious arched lobby appointed with every modern convenience.
Featuring a building-within-a-building configuration and direct elevator access the 96,000+/- RSF of commercial space span three floors and ideal use for medical facilities, educational facilities, professional offices/HQ, libraries & museums, clubs & organizations, arts & recreation.
