Sky News contributor Joe Hildebrand says NSW Attorney General Michael Daley has received a preliminary report from the second judicial enquiry into Kathleen Folbigg’s case, following her recent release from prison.
This comes as confirmation of a rare genetic mutation in Ms Folbigg had been passed onto her two daughters, resulting in the plausibility of two of her four children’s deaths.
“It has said that there is now, in the view of the judge who wrote the report and compiled it, that there is now reasonable doubt,” Mr Hildebrand told Sky News host Sharri Markson.
“This is because of new evidence that has come to light.”
