The Lumix S 85mm F1.8 has arrived and we finally was able to have the time to test if for portrait and compare it to the Nikon F mount counterpart. This shoot of course employed my Panasonic Lumix S5 and the Nikon Z6 with the Nikkor Af-S 85 mm G lens. The model is Laarni again, due to difficulties of scheduling due to the current situation. I am glad that I have a model inside the house.. This was shot in one day at Gyoda City and at the Ashikaga Flower Park in Ashikaga City. The 85 mm is my favorite focal length for portrait photography and indeed, you can see here why.. The files are all jpeg images because I could not process the S5 raw. The only difference is that I forgot to change the image profile of the s5, it was set on vivid while the Z6 was set to natural. But I balanced all the settings. Of course, the z6 has much better autofocus, specially in low light condition. The S5 AF really is not good in low light.
