Apologies for the silent section where 'All Day and All of the Night' by the Kinks should be -- the copyright bots have suddenly cracked down on a few songs lately, despite these videos being nearly two years old.

This series is a deep dive into the history of guitar distortion and feedback from the 1940s onwards, song by song.
Unlike similar histories on other channels, the focus will be on the songs, the stories behind them and not so much on technical content. There will be some talk of specific electronic gear, but I hope that I'm able to keep it accessible for those who are not so technically inclined.
Opening (fuzz tone) instrumental music: 'Inside Word' by Voodoo Factory (Ian D. Marks) (p) & (c) Control, 2021.
Incidental music: 'Moving Target' (Ian D. Marks/Sarah Taylor/Andrew Bonnici/Elizabeth J. Taylor) by The Bone Folders feat. Taylor Project (p) & (c) Control, 2019.
Otherwise, I do not own the copyright to any of the other music featured in this video.
