As Java becomes a very concentrated island where more than 50% of the Indonesian population reside, the new government plans to implement a transmigration program.
The aim is to not only reduce Java's population density, but also to create growth prospect in the other main islands such as Kalimantan, Sumatera and Sulawesi.
However, such program implementation must involve discussions with all stakeholders to be able to understand both the negative and positive impacts towards employment and local community.
