The water-based coat adds richness to the blacks and colour gamut of pigment, as well as ultra-chrome inks. Thereby, it preserves colours from fading.

Furthermore, the Hahnemühle Varnish protects canvas prints from cracking and fungal growth caused by high humidity. The varnish leaves nothing but a clear coating after application. It is available in three different finishes: matte, satin and glossy.
