lnis Meáin (Inishmaan) means ‘Middle Island’ and it indeed sits in the middle of the three Aran Islands. There are about 200 people living here today and it is about 4km by 2.5 km in size. This Island has remained the quietest and least visited by tourists throughout the years. It is the picture of tranquility.


How long is the ferry to Inis Meain?
It now takes only 20 to 25 minutes to get from Doolin to Inis Meain. Doolin Ferry Co. operates the largest and fastest ferry fleet from Doolin. We sail daily from March to early November, direct at 10:00 and 14:30 (indirect at 11:00 & 13:00). We sail from Inis Meain to Doolin at 11:00 and 16:15 every day.
