Talk/Chat show with Chetan Bhagat in conversation with Mr. Anil Agarwal with audio visual interventions and audience interaction. Audience comprised of B-School students (ET NOW responsibility) & one entrepreneur who had been inspired by Mr. Agarwal . Hosted by Chetan Bhagat this chat show delved into the unknown stories behind the success of Mr. Anil Agarwal and his businesses. The half hour show will be divided into 3 segments, the first segment will explore the rise of Mr. Agarwal as a trader in scrap metal to buying a majority stake in government –owned aluminium group Balco. His humble beginnings in Patna to shifting his business to Bombay will be covered in this segment.
The second segment will continue with exploring Mr. Agarwal’s global aspirations. Vedanta Resources was the first Indian company to be listed on the LSE. The taking control of Indian oil assets of UK-based Cairn Energy. The merger of various units to create Sesa Sterlite operating company. The hiring of former Rio Tinto boss Tom Albanese as CEO of Vedanta Resources. This segment will also look at the various accolades and awards and the kind of effect it has had on Mr Agarwal.
The third segment will be a Q&A with business school students, some of whom could have the potential to be a future success story, students who would pose the obvious and tough questions to Mr. Agarwal. In this interactive segment B School students got the opportunity to converse with their role model (Mr. Agarwal) as he shared his perspective on life, leadership, and the fundamentals of success in business.
