Dieffenbachia, more popularly known as dumb cane or leopard lily is a tropical perennial with several varieties very common and loved as easy to grow indoor plants. This low maintenance plant sport large leaves with pointed ovate leaves that have a waxy texture. The leaves have beautifully variegations in muliy white that emerges from the middle of the leaf. A well grown and loved dieffenbachia plant can grow upto 6 or 7 feet over the years and with beautiful massive leaves. The plant loves indirect light and needs to be watered when the soil is almost completely dry. The plant is stately and takes up very little time and care but add a beautiful magnificence to any indoor space.
Here are some tips for propagating Dieffenbachia Tropic Snow cuttings in water and sand:
Use a clean, sharp knife or shears to cut the cuttings.
Make sure the cuttings have at least two nodes (the points where leaves meet the stem).
Remove the bottom leaves from the cuttings.
Dip the cuttings in rooting hormone.
Place the cuttings in water or sand.
Keep the cuttings moist but not wet.
Place the cuttings in a warm, bright spot out of direct sunlight.
Be patient! It can take several weeks for the cuttings to root.
