As Indian Railways has decided to replace all ICF-designed conventional coaches with safer and faster LHB models, production of the latter has been stepped up. The amount of outsourcing has also been cut down. ICF has started manufacturing Linke Hofmann Busch (LHB) coaches with fully indigenous components.
