Welcome to my next CDP featuring Ritual Summoning, and this time we're bringing back two Ritual Themes that work together quite well in forcing a simplified gamestate. If you missed my initial profile on a pure take on the Silenforc archetype, be sure to check that out here: [ Ссылка ]
Anyways, the Silenforc archetype consists of a Skull Guardian retrain, but ultimately revolves around Ritual Summoning a LIGHT Warrior or Dragon monsters. Led by Skull Guardian, the Silenforcing Protector, this theme boasts a 4100 ATK threat that can negate the activation of an opponent's card or effect each turn, as long as you control Novox, the Silenforcer Disciple. It's quite easy to get Novox on the field though, as she will Special Summon herself back from the GY whenever any LIGHT Warrior or Dragon Ritual Monster is Special Summoned. As you'll see in the replays, I particularly like triggering her via the effect of Dyna Mondo! The other key part of Novox is that she will place a Silenforc Continuous S/T on your field when summoned, either Silenforcing Barrier to add protection to LIGHT monsters and additional consistency, or Silenforcing Authority for recovery and consistency or to destroy cards on the field. Either way, you have plenty of tools just within this small archetype to enact your will upon the game.
Now that we've covered the new archetype, let's talk about the dominant Ritual theme of the past, the Nekroz. This archetype consists of WATER Ritual monsters that are themed around other iconic monsters from the Duel Terminal lore. The primary boss of the theme is Nekroz of Trishula, who banishes a card from your opponent's hand, field, and GY upon Ritual Summon. Since its heyday, they've also received Nekroz of Areadbhair, a Level 10 Ritual that can tribute a monster to negate the activation of a monster effect, adding to the disruption that this strategy offers. Oh, and did I mention that the Nekroz have Dragon and Warrior Ritual Monsters, which inherently work well with the Silenforc support?
To close us out, there's one other cool thing I want to highlight, and that's the glue that holds any Ritual strategy together - Herald of the Arc Light. Sure, Nekroz have always abused its status as a Level 4 with Nekroz Kaleidoscope, as this Ritual Spell can send it directly from the Extra Deck to the GY to Ritual Summon Nekroz of Unicore. But what makes it work even better in today's build is that Nekroz of Brionac and Diviner of the Herald can both easily become Level 6. This will allow you to Xyz Summon Inzektor Exa-Beetle, which equips a Herald of the Arc Light back from the GY for yet another Ritual search when you Xyz Summon Digital Bug Rhinosebus on top of Exa. And if you aren't familiar with Rhinosebus, that's yet another disruption to add to your endboard, able to detach a material to destroy the faceup monster(s) your opponent controls with the highest DEF (all, if tied)! That about wraps up today's profile inspired by the Nekroz/Silenforc builds that have started popping up in the OCG, so I hope this can inspire you to try the deck out yourself when it releases with PHNI!
