Thattai is a popular crispy snack in South India. It is also known as Nippatu or Chekelu which are similar recipes in different regions.These rice crisps can be made and stored in air tight container for 10 days. Thy are great served with coffee , asa teatime snack.
Ingredients
Riceflour 1 cup
Roasted gram flour 1/4 cup
Powdered Groundnuts/peanuts 1/4 cup
Salt to taste
Oil for frying
Black pepper 2 tsp
White Til/Sesame seeds 2-3 tsp
curry leaves a few
Hing/asafoetida 1/4 tsp
