ET Now had a conversation with the Bharat Biotech Chairman Dr. Krishna Ella as India completes the 100 million milestones of the covid vaccine. Bharat Biotech is the provider of Covaxin and has contributed 18% of the total covid vaccine in the country. Dr. Krishna told to ET now that the pace of India's covid Vaccine drive is pretty fast and it can cross the 1 billion vaccine jabs milestone by the end of this year. He also discussed the steps being taken by the government in this fight against the pandemic. "Booster doses will come shortly and there will be 3 doses for children," he added. He informed that Bharat Biotech is the first to be eligible to vaccinate children above the of 2 years.
