WFUV posts many of their "'FUV Live" performances by artists (such as this one is) to WFUV's own yt Channel in video versions. But this Hope S&TWI recording is an exception - It has not been uploaded to WFUV's yt Channel, which is why I've upped the audio.
Hope Sandoval and The Warm Inventions did a 10-date U.S. tour in October, 2017. The last concert of the tour was at Brooklyn, NYC (Brooklyn Steel venue) on Oct. 22. Two days later , this NYC radio studio performance and interview was recorded at WFUV studios, but was not streamed or broadcast till November 30, 2017.
The top line of text of an annotation I added to the photo of a burned-out building at 23:37 got half-cut-off. The complete annotation reads: "Historic home of the Gundrach Bundschu winery did burn. The barn venue where HS&TWI played, and most of the vineyards survived the fires."
The thumbnail photo of the three musicians in the radio studio is credited to WFUV. I include it since it is from this radio session but it's not the best pic of Hope, imo. It also conveys an odd optical illusion of chubbiness, maybe caused by the pattern on her clothing. There are many clear photos of Hope from numerous live shows from this same month of October just before this radio interview. Plus there are many photos of Hope from a gig she did with Acetone two weeks later, Nov. 15, 2017. But she appears slim and trim in every other photo from this same period except this radio studio one. Must be an optical illusion!
In the slide show, close up photos of Hope on stage (except the silhouette one) were taken by Luz Gallardo at various shows of the Oct. 2017 tour. There's also a shot by Luz Gallardo of guitarist Dave Brennan. Plus there's a screen capture pic from a video clip (by Jason Roberts) of the Sonoma show . Other on stage photos that appear later in the slide show (during "Let Me Get There") were shot at the Oct. 14 L.A. show by audience member and FB fan Group member Daniel Ramirez. [ Ссылка ]
