I recently spent three days in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, with my mom, grandma and aunt, and needless to say it was a pretty special trip! Samarkand is one of the most famous stops of the ancient Silk Route, and to this day you can explore its ancient past, incredible architecture and beautiful scenery.
