In 2021 choirs all across the world were silenced by the pandemic, but Key Chorale found a way to continue to make music. Haydn wrote his Lord Nelson Mass, originally titled a Mass in Troubled Times, as Napoleon’s army marched toward Vienna. This was a time full of anxiety and stress. So was 2021, but we as singers persevered. Here are the Key Chorale Chamber Singers and Orchestra, along with our Key Chorale Virtual Choir singers, who joined us from their homes to be part of the Kyrie, Credo, and Dona nobis pacem.
This is a great way for singers across the globe to grab their score, dust off their cobwebs, and singalong with the full performance of one of the greatest pieces of Classical music.
While everyone may not choose to singalong, anyone can watch and see how Key Chorale managed to make beautiful music even in troubled times.
