Kanbargi, a remote village near Belagavi city, hosts an ancient cave temple of Shiva - known as the Siddheshwar temple. Located on a hill, the temple offers visitors a scenic trek amid lush green surroundings all year round.
The cave and the 'shivling' in it dates back to the 17th century."Shiva is present in this temple in the form of a shivling and is worshipped by devotees. It is said that this cave dates back to the 17th century; however, it got restructured and the stone was carved in the mid-19th century. On the extreme top of the hill, one can find a small waterfall cascading downwards."
