I'm grateful, I completed the race with no injuries and only a blown clutch master cylinder on my bike. I enjoyed the small section of slick rock and got beat up by the sand whoops the rest of the race. Despite my training over the last few months, I still got last place and was not happy with how I performed. I am really bad in the sand whoops and just a slow rider in general. Maybe I should just stick to trail riding, because clearly I'm not on the same level as these racers. I'm also bummed my GPR steering stabilizer leaked again just before the race; It would have been nice to have in the sand. My GoPro battery died before I finished, so I missed my last crash and some of the final lap.
