Anti-tax hike protests were held in Kenya against the government. At least 200 people were injured and 100 people were arrested across the country during demonstrations. The government is planning to raise $2.7 billion in additional taxes. Riot police in Nairobi fired tear gas and sprayed water cannons to disperse the protesters who say that the move will hurt the economy and raise the cost of living for Kenyans.
