#Merdeka | #thumbprintportrait of Tunku Abdul Rahman by 牛牛画廊 #niuniugallery | Ft. Han & Howie
大家好!我是热爱 #画画 来自 #马来西亚 的女 #画家 #牛牛,这个频道会跟你分享我的画画视频!
I believe that some people know me because they read my book #游学英国就是要这样玩 . This is the first book I published 3 years ago. Yes, living in the UK was really my best experience ever. I have always missed my wandering days in UK. I loved and enjoyed meeting different people everyday, see different scenery everyday.
After returning to Malaysia, the pace of life became faster. Sunday is no longer a day for relax, like what I did in UK, going to the park to have a picnic, read a book or take a walk... but rather continue to work work work...
But why did I choose to come back?
Did you know that there is a taste called irreplaceable, the nasi lemak taste, roti canai, char kuey teow etc...
There is a kind of warmth weather - summer all year round in Malaysia.
More importantly, there is a way of getting along with each other, which is the harmony of all races, and mutual respect.
If you are a Malaysian and have also studied/worked/lived abroad for a period of time, you must know what I am talking about.
Frankly speaking, before MCO, I never took the initiative to listen to the news. However, during the three months of staying at home, I became interested and enthusiastic about the news because I wanted to understand the global epidemic situation.
In August - National Month. Everyday when I turned on the TV, I feel a little helpless when I heard about all the negative political news. Sometimes telling myself not to listen to the news anymore as they will affect my mood. But escape is not the way! Politics is affecting the lives of each of us every day.
Rather than being led by political news, as a full-time painter, I asked myself why I don’t use color to contribute a little bit to my favorite country during the National Day?
I am not a politician, nor can I make much change, nor do I expect any change. But I can use my own hands to pay tribute to the founding father of Malaysia. At least I hope that as long as one person sees my painting and reminds him a little bit of patriotism, it will be worth it.
If all the politicians can, like Tunku Abdul Rahman, lay down their personal interests or opinions and serve the country, I believe our country will be better (at least better than now)
In 1957, why can we live in harmony 63 years ago today, but not now? I asked myself, what else can we do as a rakyat besides venting our grievances behind the screen?
So I chose to use these 3 different colors: red, yellow, and black, which also represent #threenationalities. At the same time, the arrangement of #九宫格 (3 grid composition - 9 canvasses) is used to indicate a divided party. Although our skin color, background, concept are different, when these three colors/the 9 canvases are put together, they can present a complete # handpaintedportraitpainting , and the owner of this painting is the independence of our country hero! #TunkuAbdulRahman
I really love Malaysia. I have no idea of emigrating for the time being. I am also very grateful to live in this country without natural disasters. How about you? Comment below to tell me your opinion.
