Though backbreaking full- and half-stacks used to be the premier choice for touring guitar players who wanted the best, loudest sounds, this past decade has shown a changing tide. Small amp tech has gotten better and better, and nowadays, it's getting even less common to see 50-watt combo amps on stage when you can get something just as good in a much smaller package.
