SPT has teamed up with the Scottish Ambulance Service to provide potentially life-saving training for bus station staff.
Automated external defibrillators (AEDs), provided by British Heart Foundation Scotland, are being placed in East Kilbride, Greenock and Hamilton bus stations. They have been at Buchanan Bus Station since October 2009.
SPT staff will be shown how to use the AEDs and administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in the event of a cardiac arrest situation.
