Daniel Karlin was a 19-year-old camp counselor when six campers ages 9 to 11 testified they were SA’d while attending Camp Seneca Lake in 1991.Their testimony sent him to prison for 25 years.
Karlin was released on parole September 2018 and was registered as a level three offender.
Mr. Karlin’s parole conditions restricted his access to all n*de material. Five months after his release Mr. Karlin’s parole was revoked, sending him back to prison for twenty-two months for accessing a gay lifestyle magazine featuring a photograph of n*de men, next to an article about kayaking.
Daniel Karlin is appealing his revocation and whether his specific conditions can apply to a movie from a streaming site or a magazine article he claims is available at the local library.
