The cycling journey continues to Northern Israel; I pedalled from the bustling coastal city of Tel Aviv, to Haifa and the holy city of Nazareth, before cycling to a Kibbutz in the far North near the Golan Heights. Along the way, I continued to learn about the region’s history and cultures, from the Russian influence in Haifa, to the demographics of mixed Jewish and Arab, and Muslim and Christian cities, as I made my way to Kibbutz Amir at the Northernmost point of the Jordan River. As always, bike touring would introduce me to fascinating locals en route, who helped me understand my surroundings.
