We return to Water Canyon after a year to have a go at it and tackle that 175ft rappel. As always canyons change and the water level was quite different than the last time we were in this particular canyon. We had a couple challenges as we began the canyon, sticking rope and pulling rope early before a two stage rappel but after that the rest of the trip went great.
I was trying a new camera angle coming down rappels so forgive the noise and also the muted audio do to the waterproof housing.
Water Canyon is heavily used by the guide services so we figured it best to have a later start rather than early and this proved effective since it allowed the groups to pass on through instead of coming down on top of us making the trip much more pleasant and personal. The hike up to the top still sucks but its worth it. Very humid and hot. Glad we brought wetsuits, the water was cold and we were freezing by the time we exited.
