SuperDévoluy - Sunny pistes with perfect snow!
The ski resort in the western part of the Alpine bend, about halfway between Lake Geneva and the Mediterranean, offers you a winter holiday in a league of its own. The resort is 92 km south-east of Grenoble, easily reached via the autobahn and the national road.
You won’t find anything like the gigantic buildings just beyond the pistes of the 2,500 m peak in any other ski area in the alps.
Together with La Joue du Loup, SuperDévoluy is one of the largest ski areas in the Southern Alps. The slopes below the Pierra d’Agnières at 2,510 m are first steep and then gentle, making up a 20 square kilometer snow paradise.
23 lifts connect 100 km of pistes across over 1,000 m elevation. 10 lifts start from SuperDévoluy, meaning that waiting times are essentially unheard of.
You can also head over to the easy to middle-difficult pistes via a ski carousel all the way to La Joue du Loup. The rolling terrain with sunny slopes, shaded bedrock, and splendid deep-powder descents ensure plenty of diversity.
The peak region, where the pistes bear names such as ‘’Le Mur’’, which means ‘’the wall,’’ are somewhat more challenging by comparison.
A real treat for snowboarders is the ‘’Mushroom Park,’’ with big airs, tables, rails, and a boarder-cross. Snow security is ensured not only by the location and altitude of the ski area, but also by numerous snow canons.
