London Stone is temporarily on display in the museum whilst 111 Cannon Street, its usual residence is renovated.

London Stone is piece of limestone, only a part of a once much monument that bore witness to The Great Fire, was mentioned by Shakespeare and, legend has it was of such significance that if it moved beyond the boundaries of the city, would cause London to fall.
