Gujarat Kites Festival 2014 also known as Makar Sankaranti or Uttarayan, which is celebrated on 14th January every year. The festival of Uttarayan marks the day when winter begins to turn into summer, This day is considered to be one of the most important harvest day in India.

This video is dedicated to all the kite lover. In this 10 min video which is shot around the span of three day we have tried to portray the people, the city, from the biggest Gujarat International Kite Festival which showcase kites from many different country from huge kites to the tiniest, to the art of traditional maanja (kite thread) making, the night patang bazaar (Kite market at Delhi Darwajja), the old city areas known as pods where people enjoy the festival to core and lastly, the best night of festival where in you can see the sky is filled with thousands and thousands of Tukkals (sky lanterns) which gives you the sense of how beautiful the festival is, the enthusiasm of people towards it and how great and warmth the city is....
