In this video I talk you through what salary you can achieve pre qualification and post qualification and what factors might influence that salary so that if you are thinking about going into accountancy as a career you can consider those factors as part of your decision making.
These factors include such elements as past experience, geographic location, whether you are studying AAT, ATT or another diploma or the ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA or another higher professional qualification. Here we also consider sector as well as the size of the business you are hoping to work for and other factors.
I have also included a few estimates from Total Jobs, Glassdoor and Kaplan to hopefully give you a thorough explanation of what salary you can expect working as an accountant in the UK.
