How will you find your next favorite board game?

I am a software developer who, as a board game hobbyist, has been asking that question for years. I wanted to build a board game web app and search algorithm that wouldn't just identify tabletop games based on what "customers also bought..." or the majority consensus of "rating", but based on the attributes of board games that YOUR find interesting.

The Perfect Boardgame (www.theperfectboardgame.com) allows users to score games on five attributes, theme, mechanics, luck, strategy, and complexity. Using your "perfect boardgame formula" you can find search for games that best fit your preferences. The site also checks game prices daily, so you can even tag games and check to see which are on sale.

The Perfect Boardgame is free to use and you don't have to register to search for games. (However, registered users can rate, review, and tag games.) Try searching for your favorite game and see how the algorithm performs at finding others just like it.
