Oil marketers and Dangote Refinery are at odds as the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) pushes for direct access to refined products amid recent petrol price hikes. IPMAN’s Abubakar Garima revealed that, despite orders from NNPCL, some marketers were unable to secure fuel from Dangote Refinery, leaving their trucks idle for days. With petrol prices now hitting N1,025 per litre in Lagos and N1,060 in Abuja, IPMAN believes that granting independent marketers access to the refinery could bring price relief to Nigerians.
