Filmed on 16/12/2020. With Chritmas just around the corner, Northern, Direct Rail Services and Transpennine Express provides some unusal movements at Scarborough.
Northern's 155342 works what is a very rare working 1J50 (14:57) to Sheffield via Hull. It is very rare for Northern to put 155's on South Yorkshire diagrams but this was in tempory place of a class 170. The unit was swapped at Hull for 170453.
Direct Rail Services 68033 works 023L from Crewe Gresty Bridge (DRS) which will be in use for driver training purposes. DRS leases their class 68's for use of Transpennine Express to be used for Nova 3 sets.
Transpennine Express 68020 'Reliance' awaits of driver of 68033 as it works 027M to Longport Car.M.D. This will happen on a regular occurance to be used for training possibly with a Nova 3 set along the West Coast Mainline between Bletchey and Carlisle via Crewe.
