As spring lambing wraps up, we are already preparing for our summer group due in June!
We are about 7 weeks away, and already these ladies need their visit from Charlie. Today is shearing day!!
But... we found not one, but 2 ewes with little abscesses right below their chin. It may be from the feed bunk, but it could also mean CL (Caseous lymphadenitis) which these ewes have been vaccinated for!
...so hoping it's not that.

Carissa and I moved over some ewe lambs to join the flock! And we've got the Billy twins in this group!

Speaking of drainage... Mark is back on the land trying to get these field tiles unplugged. After such a wet fall, after a dry summer... the roots went deep looking for water and made themselves at home in our drainage tiles.

AND... we are finally beginning spring field work!!!
