One of my favorite things to do in Beijing is walk around the hutongs! The hutongs are narrow alleys made up by siheyuan (courtyard residences). Here are three of my favorite hutong areas to explore: Lama Temple, Wudaoying Hutong, and Nanluoguxiang.
