President Jean-Claude Juncker and High Representative/Vice-President Federica Mogherini met today with United Nations Secretary General António Guterres in New York, in the margins of the seventy-third session of the United Nations General Assembly, and expressed their determination to further strengthen the cooperation between the United Nations and the European Union.
President Juncker said: "We are here to say that the multilateral approach is not dead, it has to be maintained - it is the only chance we have to shape the future of the globe, in a way acceptable for all stakeholders."
