ingredients needed
2kg sikad sikad
4tbsp oil
6 cloves garlic
1 medium onion
2 thumbs ginger slices
1 bundle lemongrass
handful of salt
1 cup malunggay leaves
5 cups water
Instructions :
1. wash Sikad shells 3-5 times or until dirt is gone
2. soak in a water with a handful of salt for 1 hour
3. chop garlic , onions and ginger
4. prepare the lemongrass and malunggay then set aside
5. Heat the oil in a pan and once its hot sauté the garlic , onion and ginger
6. Add the SIKAD Shells and stir fry.
7. Drop the Lemongrass and add desired amount of water, boil it up to 4-5 mins.
8. Remove bubbles
9. add the Malunggay leaves, simmer it and turn off the heat
10. Transfer to a serving bowl. Share and enjoy!
(Use needle or pointy metal to remove the sikad meat easily)
