Mustafa Ahmed a 16-year-old spoken-word poet who currently attends Jarvis Collegiate Institute. His work talks about world issues and everyday life. Ahmed's love of poetry began at age 10, when he started using it as a way to interact with his sister.
Matt Lagan's musical career started at age 3, when he began playing the piano. In middle school, he picked up the tenor saxophone, eventually joining the Humber College Community Music School at 14. As part of the Jazz.FM91 Youth Big Band, Lagan has performed with jazz icons Lew Tabackin, Kelly Jefferson and Al Kay.
