Footage filmed by the Independent’s Bel Trew shows a convoy of buses arriving in Zaporizhzhia, Ukraine, part of the mass evacuation of people from Mariupol, who were in occupied Berdyansk.
The convoy is not part of a humanitarian corridor but a way for people to escape by their own means.
54 people, mostly women and children, were evacuated in this truck from places like Melitopol.
They were inside the truck for 11 hours on the road.
One Ukrainian part of the convoy told the Independent the level of devastation in Mariupol could be compared to the town of Pripyat evacuated in the Chernobyl nuclear disaster.
